Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not at all. You are free to see a chiropractor on your own accord. However, if your GP decides that chiropractic care is the best option for you, your GP can provide you with up to 5 EPC (enhanced primary care) visits which are covered by Medicare.

  • It completely depends on you, your goals, and your problem. How long has the pain or concern been around for? How severe is it? How healthy do you want to become? No two people are the same, therefore, no two treatment plans are the same. Based on our chiropractors findings from your history and the examination process, we will cater a treatment plan specifically tailored to you.

  • ‘Remarkably’ according to a New Zealand study.

The New Zealand Government published an objective study of chiropractic. Many issues were studied, including cost effectiveness, chiropractic education and training, safety issues, and patient satisfaction.

Among other things, the resulting 377 page document concluded that chiropractic would have a positive influence on the health of a country.

The commission investigated two safety issues that had been commonly raised by chiropractic critics. The first being the safety of chiropractic spinal adjustments, and the second, the notion that seeking chiropractic care delays medical treatment. After extensive inquiry, the researchers found both safety concerns to be unfounded. Because of the lack of evidence to the contrary, the commissioners determined chiropractic care to be remarkably safe.

  • Prior to your first visit you will be required to fill out our new patient form (found in the new patients tab). On your first visit you will meet with one of our chiropractors to discuss your current health concerns. Your chiropractor will ask you additional questions about your health and history to get a clear picture of your entire health profile. From there we will complete a comprehensive, neurological, postural, orthopedic, and chiropractic examination on you, to help correctly diagnose your problem. From here, you may be referred for x-rays (bulk billed through medicare). Your chiropractor will then explain your condition, how chiropractic can help, and discuss treatment options with you. If it is determined you are a good candidate for chiropractic care, you will be adjusted on your first visit.
